Scrapbook Dreams Weekly sketch Challenge

This weeks challenge was to do a tag from a tag sketch and then do a layout including the tag. I have used a basic grey tag and a prima journal blog as the base of the tag.

Scrappin Patch Sketch Challenge

Here is my layout for the sketch finally one of Announcing the arrival of Christopher over five years ago. I have used the little photo frames from the photographer that came to the hospital. The stamped transparencies are using white stazon ink and the paper I have used is blue awning by K and Co.

Stampin' Scrap

Yesterday I did a few layouts for the July girls night in challenges and this weeks sketch challenge - these photos are a bit fuzzy the light was not good so might get better photos later.

First one is for the Sketch challenge

This one is for the 11th of July Girls night in challenge which was to do a layout about a home or something in it - Tanaka was my home for over two years as a young teen travelling with my family from South Africa to NZ

The challenge for the 18th was to use newspaper on a layout.

The 4th of July challenge was to use you guessed RED BLUE and WHITE on a layout.

Whoo hoot Wednesday

Its Whoo hoot Wednesday -I have a few of things to whoo hoot about:

Our shopping trip last Thursday - we managed to shop for seven hours that is me and the three kids who were having difficulty in deciding what to buy with grandads holiday money especially the boys.

School Holidays are over a little bit of peace around the house though got a ton of washing to do.

Kaitlyn started morning kindy today at four years two months a whole five months earlier then the boys did she loved it and tried to do her name when we got home and did right up to the Y very cool.

Andrew is loving his new job which is awesome

I completed all seven rounds of so you think you can scrap and even though I didn't get in the top three I have some layouts I'm proud of to add to my albums though I don't think I'm any nearer to figuring out my style LOL - I seem to range from fairly simple to filling up a page as much as I can!

Today I received my parcel from Scrapbox which was a pizza box 3/4 full of cardstock I bought (69 cents a sheet - can't go wrong with that) - should keep me going for a while......

And finally my name was drawn for NZ Dare 49 as the winner of a Shabby chic prize pack - ooh their stuff looks awesome can't wait to get this happy mail.

LOTS to share

I have been beavering away at some layouts two the last couple of days and four in the last couple of hours well the kids have been drawing.

The next four I did today.

This layout below is for Scrapbooking by Design's July sketch - I love how it has turned out - I bought these papers to do part six of their contest but didn't use them.

Next up is a layout for Scrapbox NZ sketch challenge for July - Katie doesn't look like she is enjoying that fluffy.

Lastly the next layout is for Scrappin Patch's fortnightly sketch which will be based on votes by readers of their blog and finishes tonight at midnight.

Some enabling for you Scrapbox NZ is having a 30% sale on everything until the end of July.  Their Bazzil cardstock is only 0.69 cents per sheet - needless to say 74 pieces found my trolley

So you think you can scrap part seven my style

Well the contest is all over - its being great.. Go check Scrapbooking by designs forum to see the results. Here is my layout for part seven a no pointer again probably as it looks similiar to last weeks.  I think this is one of my favourite styles lots of layering and distressing. It only took me an hour an a half from concept to completion. The background paper is gorgeous - looks painted but isn't it was in Paper Pesto's July kit along with the other paper on this layout. I love how it has turned out and have added eight layouts to my albums due to the contest. (did two in one of the weeks)

Well I didn't do a whoo hoot yesterday to tired to think as I had a busy day with shopping, baking, cleaning house and having the kids grandad for afternoon tea. The kids got some holiday money from him and today we spent seven HOURS  shopping as they couldn't make up there minds or were not being sensible about their choices though Kaitlyn picked stuff pretty quickly. So the boys came home with hot wheels and pocket monsters and KT got a pony, a doll, bubble mixture set and a colouring in book and I came home with sore feet. So another busy day.

My LSS phoned the other day about the fiskars finger knife to say that no more were coming into NZ until September but guess what I was walking around the warehouse yesterday and found ONE for $9.95 which was a lot cheaper then what I had seen advertised so cant wait to have a play as I love cutting out patterned paper - that would have been on my whoo hoot list.

Stampin Scrap weekly Sketch

Just another quick layout to share for Stampin Scrap Sketch this week.  A case of me buying clothes that match the colours on some paper : )

NZ Dare 49 - Pipecleaners

I initially was just going to make flowers with the pipecleaners but after going to Motat I got the photo for this so made iceblocks out of the pipecleaners and did a fun layout for something different.

I also did another layout for fun with another photo from Motat that I love. Lots of cutting in this one and it was like putting a puzzle together

My layout for part seven So you think you can scrap is also done also with a Motat Photo - I will reveal it on Thursday. I can't believe seven weeks have gone by so quickly.

Help a fellow Kiwi Scrapper out

Courtesy of Angelgurl

Rachel is a kiwi scrapper living in Kuala Lumpar since October 2007 with her DH and her two adorable children A and M. For the last seven weeks Rachel has been taking part in a scrapping competition by Scrap-n-Crop’s Project Scrap Away. Each week someone is eliminated. Rachel has created some beautiful layouts during the last seven weeks. Rachel is the only kiwi in this international competition. So why does she need your help? She has the opportunity to blog her way to immunity and this is how you can help.

  1. Leave a comment on Rachel’s blog and you earn her a point.

  2. If you mention her name and Project Scrap Away (PSA) on your blog she gets an extra point.

  3. Then go to PSA blog and leave a comment on this post here and type Rachel’s friend with a link to your blog.

So please lets help Rachel out and help her blog her way to immunity.

Two layouts to Share

Heres another two layouts I did yesterday - the first one is for Paper Pestos sketch challenge using the kit I got last month and a couple of extra bits. The second is just for fun.

So I was right for the last challenge for So you think you can scrap - it is to do a layout in your style - now what is my style?

So you think you can scrap Part Six - Louise's Challenge

I was looking forward to this week in the contest as I have loved Louises creations since I first saw them they are stunning. I have enjoyed doing all the layouts and trying out other peoples style but this ones concept came together the easiest maybe because I have been thinking about it so much :). The gallery is looking awesome and a few participants were a bit apprehensive this week but all the layouts are amazing.
Here's mine - no points for me this week but I'm proud of it :

Tomorrow brings the last challenge not sure what it will be but maybe a layout of what we think is our style??? Time will tell :)

Well the gallery is up and points allocated so my layout which got two points can be revealed. The paper I used was crate paper I love the subtle tones to it and the peacock is gorgeous. Only two more challenges to go - I'm really looking forward to Louise's and have an idea in my head but whether it comes out alright on paper is another story. I got a further two points for my Heidi challenge last week so 12 points overall.
