Prima Build a Page -December

I am stoked- I didn't win November's Prima BAP but my layout was one of only a few that was mentioned on their blog.

This layout is for the December Challenge - I just had to do some scrapping and this reflects the change about to happen in our house as we are moving a week before Christmas which means a new house, new area and new school for the kids:

Vintage Valentines by Fancy pants Inspiration

Well the courier arrived this morning with my order and some Vintage Valentine papers for me to use for inspiration. So instead of doing some packing (we are moving house the week before Christmas) I decided I needed to do some scrapping

The vintage Valentine papers are beautiful and have lovely colours to them. I can see heaps of potential for them and not just for valentines. They would be lovely for girly pages - if you have in countryside photos these papers would look great too. You can find a lot of the products I have used at Scrappin' Patch - go check it out as Prima products have 30% off at the moment!

Here is my first layout of my DH and my hands when we were newly weds

Websters 12 Days til Christmas

I recently took part in the 12 days of christmas crop over at the Websters forum. I love Webster pages and they go so well with Prima!

On Day one the challenge was to do a shadow box -instead of a shadow box I used the back part of the canvas.

On Day two was a gift card and box set

Day Three was a photo frame

Day four was another photo frame

Day 5 layout using photo cropping - the flowers are handmade

Day 6 was a mini album and I was so chuffed as I won the challenge!

Day Seven was an OTP snowflake but I did a star as I couldn't find a wooden snowflake

Day eight I skipped and Day nine was a design three ways so I did a card, a shadow box and a layout

I ran out of time to do the rest of the crop but it was awesome.

Me at Scrappin' Patch

Well I better update before I forget:

Over at Scrappin' Patch I have set a Multi Photo Challenge which ends midnight 20th of November. the challenge is to have 3 or more photos and it has to be a birthday layout - YES a birthday layout (it was Brendans 9th birthday on the 16th so I thought why not a birthday challenge).

Here is my layout (Brendans 7th Birthday)

Annelie has set the Boyzone challenge this week and It's all about love in this challenge...If you have anything/anyone MALE in your life - human or furry - you can participate in this challenge! All you have to do is to create a LO with the title starting with "Five reasons why I love...", and I want your journaling to be heartfelt.

My take

The other week I had Cosmo cricket boyfriend range in my design team kit and here is another layout that I did

With my other part of my Design team kit I got Glitz detour papers, glimmerz(stickers), pink paislee alphas and Jillibean journalling spots. This was to make up a take out kit which you can buy here and with it you can make four layouts.

Here is a sneak peek - to see the layouts I did you have to buy the kit!

Retreat News and layouts - very long photo heavy post !!

WARNING LONG POST !!

Last weekend I went to the Sketchbook Retreat. I had an awesome time not much sleep (about six hours),great company, heaps of inspiration, laughs and yummy food. I sat with Megan, Annelie and Heidi with Jane and Kelly nearby. I met a few more people and saw a few I had already met and didn't shop to much (had done to much prior to the retreat)

Thanks Megan for an awesome time - you were such a busy bee making sure everything was running smoothly and your layouts you did were awesome - I love the Jumbo Photo look - I need to give it ago.

Thanks Heidi for being my table buddy and a huge inspiration source - you gave me some great ideas !! and it was lovely sending time with you.

Annelie thanks for inspiring me as well with your stunning creations and great company and helping me out with ideas too.

Jane it was awesome meeting you and having your company and talking to someone about Katie and I love the layouts I did see of yours.

Well I did 15 layouts one of which was a double and a canvas so about the same as the last retreat - page kits make it easier to get layouts done. I went through and found challenges beforehand and then made kits. I was so inspired from the retreat that I have done my design team kit of four layouts in less then two hours today!!

Lets get Shabby challenge

Well I am joining the Shabby chic challenge over at Lets Get Shabby with hours to spare - I really love shabby chic and this challenge was to include something vintage. I have used an old ribbon from a collection a lady had that she had collected many many years ago and the music paper comes from a music score which was dated in the 1940's. I have also used bolder colours.
