Scrap Around the world around April Challenge

I loved the mood board over at Scrap Around the Worlds April Challenge. So I just had to create as it was very inspiring to me!

 Here is my layout:

Lets Get Sketchy Week one Challenge for April

Had a great Scrappy Day with friends last weekend and managed five layouts (three have to wait to be shown) but one of them was a using Lets Get Sketchy's Week one for April's sketch. I pretty much stuck to the Sketch!

Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar Mini Album Part 2

Here is part two of my Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar mini album created for Artfull Crafts. Today I will be showing you the inner part of the album. Presently I do not have photos or anything but decorated pages as I have not thought about what I could use the album for yet.

The binding system I used was what a friend showed me but I don't know what it is called and I forgot to take photos! It is similiar to concertina binding but instead of using one long piece of paper you use different size border strips from just over an inch to various sizes up to the thickness of your spine on your book. I will have to do another and take progress photos as it is so much easier then other types of binding.

I have used the 6 x 6 Paper Pad and Collectables from the Antique Bazaar Collection as well as various embellishments from the shop and my personal stash to create fairly simple pages. This would make a great heritage album.

Thanks for looking at my creation on the blog today - I really enjoyed creating it and now I need to make another to show you the binding!
Have a great week!

Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar Mini Album Part 1

In my design team pack for this month from Artfull Crafts was Kaisercraft's Antique Bazaar. It is a lovely vintagy collection and so I decided to create a mini album with it.

The album cover is using a cut up cardboard box which has had the top layer taken off it so you see the ridged inner part of the cardboard.  I have not used a lot of the Antique Bazaar Collection on the cover - only one of the diecut sayings.  The rest is decorated from my own purchased products over the years from various shops including op shops. The ink I have used is Tim Holtz Walnut stain. Along the spine I have adhered ribbons and a key for interest.  The closures I found in a Japan shop but was thinking you could use thin old belts or old watch straps. The little bird is an op shop find while most of the other products are Prima.

Here is a few views of the album.

Thanks for visiting my blog today - next week I will show you the inner pages that are really easy to create. See you then!

123 Get Scrappy April Challenge

Hi welcome to a new challenge at 123 Get Scrappy. Here is this month tic tac toe board - the challenge runs until 30 April 2015.

I chose the middle vertical row - Frame, Zig Zags and a black and white photo. A layout featuring Kaitlyn looking rather pensive.
